Man of Steel Press Launch |
So yeah, after that disastrous
experience in contributing for toy exhibits, I was invited for the Press Launch of the Man of Steel at Mall of Asia as a blogger. Naturally I had to go and visit the launch (even if I have already seen the movie trailers almost a hundred times). The launch formally opened to the public the activity area where kids can have their photos taken with the replicas, props, toy exhibits, and mini games. The launch included a mini Fashion Show from Penshoppe where ramp models sported the Man of Steel related apparels. There was also a dance group to entertain the audience and a raffle draw that gave out limited edition Man of Steel watches by Axis, as well as a Lenovo flat screen T.V. for the major prize. I think the event had a decent budget as the organizers even created a replica of that squid like Kryptonian vessel from the movie. Pinoy Superman Herbert Chavez was also in attendance though he wasn't the "official" Superman cosplayer on that day as the honor belonged to Gerard Sison. What I'm curious about however was the Toy Exhibit or the so called Superman Memorabilia Exhibit. I wonder if the toy exhibitors were handsomely paid. The press and the guests of the event however were given "Press Kits" as their sign of appreciation. Man of Steel opens on June 12, 2013. This is a must watch movie for Superhero fans and casual fans alike. See below for more photos of the event.
